| Mexican masks |
On Wednesday, we woke up to an early breakfast at 7:30AM.
After breakfast, we went to school and played memory in Spanish with the
vocabulary for animals. After learning a lot, we went with the school to a mask
museum where we saw a variety of masks, including one that is 130 years old
named “The Centurion”. Then, we went to the park and students had the
opportunity to play soccer and basketball. Finally, we returned to school and
had a blast. Mexican students that were studying English had conservations with
us, with them speaking in English and us in Spanish. The exchange was really fun. After learning more about life in San Miguel
from the Mexican students, we returned for a relaxing night at Casa Carmen
where we watched some television.

El miércoles, nos
despertamos para desayunar temprano a las 7:30. Después del desayuno, fuimos a
la escuela y jugamos a “memoría” con el vocabulario de los animales. Después de
aprender mucho, con la escuela fuimos a un museo de máscaras donde vimos una
variedad de máscaras como una máscara que tenía 130 años y que se llamaba “El
Centurión.” Entonces, fuimos al parque y
los estudiantes tuvieron la oportunidad
de jugar al fútbol y al baloncesto. Por
fin, regresamos a la escuela y nos divertimos mucho. Los estudiantes mexicanos que
estudiaban el inglés conversaron con nosotros; ellos hablaban en inglés y
nosotros hablábamos en español. El intercambio fue muy divertido. Después de aprender más de la vida en San
Miguel de los estudiantes mexicanos, volvimos a Casa Carmen para una noche
tranquila y vimos un poco de televisión.
